Position: Intern – Marketing

Office Location:  Austin, TX     

Reports to: Marketing Manager

Status: Part-time / non-exempt (16-20 hours per week minimum)

Salary: $10 per hour (paid internship)

Position Overview

As a marketing intern, you will collaborate with our marketing and sales teams in all stages of marketing. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand and maintain our marketing channels.

This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing and should be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.

Position: Loan Servicing Accountant

Office Location:  Austin, TX     

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Status: Full-time / non-exempt

Salary: $55k – $60k commensurate with experience

Summary of Role

The current loan portfolio includes 300 + loans, totaling $155 million in principal balance with rapid growth anticipated over the next 12 months.

Position Overview

The Company’s Loan Servicing Accountant will work hard in a fun and supportive team setting, with the task of handling the day-to-day workflow of loan servicing accounting, cash management, systems management and reporting. The successful candidate must be able to problem solve and have a high proficiency for detail and numbers. The ideal candidate would be a college grad with a finance or accounting degree, or a banker, or accountant or with a prior mortgage lending or loan servicing background and QuickBooks experience. We are looking for a go-getter with proven leadership abilities!              

Position Responsibilities

  • Make loan trust accounting entries in servicing software.
  • Accounts payable for loan servicing bills and expenses.
  • Make QuickBooks entries.
  • Subject matter expert for loan servicing software with ability to train co-workers.
  • Balance the bank accounts daily, manage cash flow for draws and expenses, wire construction draws to customers.
  • Work closely with Fund Management personnel.
  • Produce monthly reports for third party loan buyers.
  • Produce monthly reports for investment fund partners.
  • Produce monthly reports for advisors and managed accounts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Financial or Accounting background or degree.
  • Comfortable working in Excel across multiple spreadsheets.
  • Adaptable to various computer programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, takes initiative.
  • Ability to work independently, after initial training period. 
  • Proven customer service skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership in prior positions.
  • Excellent organization skills to create and maintain an orderly work environment.

Qualifications

  • Prior accounting experience, payment processing and QuickBooks experience is a major plus.
  • Experience with implementing loan servicing software or other financial software is a major plus.
  • BA / BS degree a plus.

Position: Business Development Associate (“BDA”)

Office Location:  Austin, TX     

Reports to: Retirement Operations Manager

Status: Full-time / non-exempt

Salary: $60-70K

This is a client-facing role that requires strong business development, customer service and administrative skills with a keen focus on meaningful relationship building. The Business Development Associate will own the office’s lead generation, pipeline retention, and client and professional referral processes. Additionally, the BDA will coordinate with our internal Marketing Department and is responsible for assisting with and implementing various marketing initiatives.

Position Responsibilities

We’re looking for a driven and focused individual to own business development activities for the Retirement division. The Business Development Associate must feel confident in working to pull new prospects through the marketing funnel and sales process as they work with the Advisor to implement a retirement plan. They must be results driven and capable of thinking outside-the-box when challenged to create new solutions to meet division sales goals.
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to those described below. Many responsibilities will necessitate coordination with our internal Marketing Department.        

A. Marketing Operations

  • Develop new and manage existing lead generation activities (e.g. direct mail invitations, radio show/radio ads, client referral events, digital advertising, etc.).
  • Maintain existing lead quality and implement additional changes and improvements as dictated by sales results.
  • Plan and facilitate execution of events and communications campaigns (e.g. seminars, client events, quarterly newsletter, radio show, etc.).
  • Work to determine event budgets, coordinate event production, and manage expenses to that budget.
  • Keep promotional materials up-to-date by coordinating requirements with marketing team; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt; etc.
  • Generate and maintain reports based on metrics collected, such as: event registrations, conversion ratios, lead sources, etc.
  • Analyze marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic, etc.) to determine effectiveness and efficiency and help shape future marketing strategies.
  • Maintain existing and establish new relationships with third party vendors as necessary.

B. Sales Coordination

  • Advance sales pipeline by creating and facilitating initiatives to convert new prospect leads into committed appointments, retain committed appointments in the pipeline, and convert committed appointments into clients.
  • Actively seek out new opportunities that engage prospects and increase business opportunities in efforts to improve division’s closing ratio.
  • Attend all events as a client-facing representative to promote and ensure the success of the event.

Position Requirements

  • BS/BA in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a customer relations, business development, and/or sales role.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline driven and collaborative environment.
  • Possess an understanding of how to manage priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
  • Solid computer skills, including: MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and social media platforms.
